M-POPET
Power inverter M-POPET series for AC and DC consumers power supply
Power inverter M-POPET is designed as a secondary power source for AC consumers with rated voltage 220 V, frequency 50 Hz and DC consumers with rated voltage 24 V.
Applications
Carriages:
• compartments;
• cars of increased comfort level;
• dinning-cars;
• cars of electric trains, etc.
Equipment to be power-supplied:
• toilet pumps;
• pumps of heating and other technological systems;
• household appliances.
Functional advantages:
• wide range of allowable input voltage;
• ability to work from a remote DC source with high voltage ripple and significant internal resistance;
• high overload capacity ~220 V, which ensures the start up and supply of motors with high locked rotor current ratio (up to 4 times from the rated current);
• galvanically isolated DC voltage source 24 V, which ensures the power supply of additional devices;
• low noise level.

Installation
The inverter is to be installed inside the carriage, the working position is vertical or horizontal, on the right or left sidewall. The user-friendly inverter design ensures easy installation both at sidewall and floor, as well as several inverters installed side by side.
Protection
• overheat protection of power semiconductor devices;
• current overload and short circuit protection;
• input voltage inadmissible derating or increase protection.
In noload condition the inverter automatically enters the low power mode.
Power inverter M-POPET is successfully employed in carriages Moscow – Helsinki.
